WHO WE ARE
Carcajou Fruit Company Ltd. is a family farm owned and operated by the Carlsons. Our first orchard was planted in 1991 by Jan & Keith and we have been expanding and improving our operation ever since.
Our family works hard to produce safe, healthy and delicious cherries as well as keep an enjoyable and fair work environment. We hire dozens of people to help us during harvest season, the majority of which are domestic, local, or world-travelers on working holiday visas.
WHERE WE GROW
Summerland, BC is the unofficial cherry capital of the world.
With the world renowned cherry varieties from the Summerland Research and Development Centre (SuRDC), we are growing with the ideal soil, climate and weather for this great fruit.
We grow 9 different varieties of Summerland sweet cherries and our season begins in late June and goes until the end of August.
